Question

How do I print from library computers?

Answer

There are 6 printers available for use in the library. There are 3 printers (B & W only) on the 2nd floor. There are 3 printers (2 B & W only, 1 color) on the 3rd floor.

Printing is free for the B & W printers. If you want to print in color it is $0.25 per page/$0.50 double-sided

Printers on 2nd floor are labeled: 2-1, 2-2, 2-3. Printers on 3rd floor are labeled 3-1, 3-2, Color Printer

To print from one of the library's computers:

  • Select print from the program you are in
  • Select the printer (most times it will default to the printer closest to your location)
    • If no printers are available in the list, see the FAQ for Refreshing Printers
  • Select the print button
  • You will get a message that your item is being held in queue
  • You need to go to one of the Print Release stations (next to the printers)
  • Log into the Print Release Station with your FSU username/password
  • Once you log in the items that you have sent to the printer will be listed there
  • Next to each item, select the Blue Print Button next to the items you want to print.
  • The items will now be sent to the printer
  • Log off of the Print Release Station
  • Pick up your items from the printer

If you have any questions, please stop by the Library Services Main Desk (3rd floor of library)
